- How will the Building Authority (BA) know which buildings have been awarded with the Voluntary Building Assessment Scheme Certificate / Premium
Certificate for recognition of having fulfilled MBIS and MWIS (for the windows in common parts only) requirements?
-
The Hong Kong Quality Building Assessment Panel Secretariat will inform BA of the names of buildings which have
joined and successfully certified under the Scheme. BA will not select those buildings as target buildings of MBIS
and MWIS (for the windows in common parts only) in their respective inspection cycles.
- How to calculate the date of recognition by BA for having fulfilled MBIS and MWIS (for the windows in common parts only) requirements?
-
Scenario 1 (Application before Completion of MBIS & MWIS Inspections and Repairs
without MBIS & MWIS (for windows in common parts only) Notices received): the date of recognition for having
fulfilled the requirements will be counted from the date of acceptance of application for VBAS;
-
Scenario 1A (Application before Completion of MBIS & MWIS Inspections and Repairs
with MBIS & MWIS (for windows in common parts only) Notices received): the date of recognition for
having fulfilled the requirements will be counted from the issue date of statutory notice for MBIS & MWIS
(for windows in common parts only); and
-
Scenario 2 (Application after Completion of MBIS & MWIS Inspections and Repairs):
the date of recognition for having fulfilled the requirements will be counted from the issue date of statutory
notice for MBIS & MWIS (for windows in common parts only); or for voluntary cases, the appointment date as
shown on the Notice of Appointment of RIs.
